Seventh Ettrickbridge

Our Pennine Princess, Robyn, described the weekend as "awesome".
I'm sure no-one will disagree.
It was like seventh heaven for this the seventh Ettrickbridge gathering.
There were complaints once more of the drunken behaviour of the oldest male included in the group & once again suggestions that he ought to be excluded for future gatherings. Par for the course I'm afraid! Walkers, cyclists & runners (& drinkers) played together like gamboling lambs.
The annual quiz was as usual, hotly contested, & the real winning team was the Dave Bowers Sextet. (Well second anyway).
Some photographs from Roger & Robyn
The photo at the top is a good group shot, but I like to see lads & lassies in action, so:-

Steve Taylor & Bob Shepherd in action...

John Griffiths & Robyn get the party going in the Gay Gordons.

Judith & Eileen showing ace road runner the way on the fells. Peter Medupe (52min 37min in Preston 10) was heard saying that is was too cold, too muddy & slippery, and that he'd not had enough beer!

Regrouping on the Saturday Run, fabulous scenary. Eddie prepares for the walk. Only two more weeks & he'll be back to beating me on the fells! Eddie is recovering from a knee operation.

Robyn speaking...Is our own very merry Gordon (in the group picture) still trying to deposit his 5p in the pint pot?

Which leads on to another hotly contested competition... our own Blogger as winner of the gatpenny challenge - successfully dropping 20p in the pot:)
